Caribbean News - Aviation Scholarships Available For Caribbean & Minority Students
"The S.O.A.R. Foundation, an organization founded by UPS Captain Michael J. Lockwood in 2002 to help minority students advance into aviation careers is looking for qualified candidates to benefit from a $5,000 scholarship.

Applicants must be of good physical health, aged 17-23 with ACT composite of 20 or greater, SAT score of 1,000 or greater, Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater and vision correctable to 20/20. They must also list any extracurricular or community involvement and submit an essay of 500 words or more on: ‘Why you deserve to be awarded the S.O.A.R. Scholarship.’
