Mercedes offers college scholarships - Fosters
Mercedes-Benz is supporting the pioneering spirit of local students who will be the first from their family to attend college or vocational school by inviting them to apply for scholarships through the “Drive your future” program.

“This program is so vital because we know that a postsecondary education opens up so many opportunities for a young person,” said Paul Halloway, owner of the Dreher-Holloway Mercedes dealership in Greenland. “To help a student become the first from their family to go to college and knowing the impact that will have on the student’s future is something we are proud to support.”

The program has committed $1 million for the 2005 scholarship program. Five hundred students from across the country will receive a one-time, $2,000 scholarship. The awards will be based on financial need and exceptional achievement in the areas of academic performance, leadership and community activities.

Students can visit www.mbusa.com/drivefuture to learn more about the program and access application materials through March 31. Scholarship winners will be announced in May.
